The Blob, the Zip and the Water Trampoline
Enormously popular during free time are the blob, the zip, and the water trampoline. The blob is basically a 35-foot trampoline that requires two campers. First one camper jumps from the blob tower and crawls into position at the end of the blob. Then, the second camper jumps onto the blob, catapulting the first camper up and away to splash into the lake, which is fed by underground springs.
Campers who zip into the lake also launch from the blob tower and sail out over the lake to a point where they would like to drop into the lake. On the water trampoline, campers may choose to jump, to run down the log, to slide down the slide, or to “blip.” “Blipping” is a mini-version of the activity of blobbing. Many campers prefer to just have races among themselves or jump off the pier.
In all activities on the lake, campers are required to wear personal flotation devices and are under the watchful supervision of certified lifeguards.
